the founder of Ocean Dunes Escapes
Before creating Ocean Dunes Escapes, I worked as a doctor while quietly dreaming of vast landscapes, endless ocean horizons, and life spent exploring the outdoors.

Traveling alone allowed me to explore freely, but I soon realized that the most memorable moments of my journeys were the ones shared with others. Whether witnessing breathtaking landscapes or encountering incredible marine life while diving, those experiences always felt richer when shared.
That realization eventually led me to create small-group journeys — bringing together people who share the same curiosity, sense of adventure, and love for the natural world.
Over the years, I often found myself counting down the days to my next solo escape — sometimes jumping on a plane right after finishing a series of night shifts.

to know before traveling?
Most of our group trips are designed for adult women only. Some private trips or selected departures may be open to mixed groups, but this will always be clearly mentioned.
Not necessarily. Most trips are active but accessible, with hiking, nature walks, snorkeling, cultural visits, or soft adventure. Each itinerary will mention the activity level so you can choose the right trip for you.
Flights are usually not included. This allows you to book from your preferred city, airline, and schedule. We can guide you on recommended arrival and departure times.
Each trip has its own inclusions, but they usually include accommodation, local transport, guided activities, selected meals, and local experiences. Exact inclusions are always listed in the itinerary.
Yes, travel insurance is strongly recommended and may be required for some trips, especially adventure, hiking, diving, or remote destinations.
Your spot is confirmed once the deposit is paid and the booking form is completed. Places are limited because our groups are intentionally small.
The deposit is non-refundable, as it is used to secure hotels, guides, transport, permits, and local suppliers in advance.
The remaining balance is usually due around 60 days before departure, unless stated differently for a specific trip.
Yes, absolutely. Most women join solo. The trips are created to feel welcoming, social, and comfortable, even if you don’t know anyone before joining.
Most prices are based on twin-sharing rooms. Single rooms may be available at an extra cost, depending on the destination and accommodation.
Accommodation styles vary from trip to trip depending on the destination and experience. Some journeys include beautiful 5-star hotels, boutique stays, eco-lodges, or heritage homes, while others may involve yurts, guesthouses, or camping in tents in very remote mountain, desert, or nature locations. We always choose places that match the spirit of the trip and the experience we want to create. The accommodation style and comfort level are always clearly mentioned in the itinerary.
Our trips are not mass-market luxury holidays. They are thoughtfully curated, comfortable where possible, and focused on nature, culture, adventure, and authentic local experiences.
If we cancel a departure, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to another trip.
Cancellation terms depend on the timing and the destination. Deposits are non-refundable, and closer to departure, payments may also become non-refundable due to supplier commitments.
Yes. We can organize private trips for friends, families, couples, or custom groups depending on the destination and availability.
Our groups are small, usually around 6–10 guests, to keep the experience personal, flexible, and connected.
Trips are hosted by Ocean Dunes or operated with trusted local partners, licensed guides, and local experts. Whenever possible, we work with women-led or community-based partners.
It depends on the trip. Some ocean trips are suitable for beginners or snorkelers, while others require diving certification or previous experience. This will always be clearly mentioned.
